GRANT TOWNSHIP – A 19-year-old Muskegon woman received minor injuries in a single-vehicle rollover crash Monday, Oct. 7, shortly before 4:30 p.m. on South Water Road near Wilke Road, according to Oceana County Sheriff’s Deputy John Fraass.
The woman was southbound in a 2008 Chevrolet Impala on Water Road near the Double JJ Resort when the car went off the road onto the west side and rolled over, Fraas said.
The deputy said he believes distracted driving was the cause of the crash. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the car, was treated at the scene by Grant Township Rescue.
Alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash, the deputy said, and the woman was wearing a seatbelt.
Grant Township Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
