US 31 rollover crashes top police activity.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP – Two separate vehicle rollover crashes occurred Tuesday, Oct. 1, on rain-slicked US 31 within the same vicinity, according to Michigan State Police trooper Kelsey Case.

There were no injuries reported in the first crash, but it resulted in the arrest of a 45-year-old Grand Haven man wanted on a felony warrant, Case said. The crash occurred shortly before noon near Grant Road.

The second crash occurred shortly before 9:30 p.m. near Hayes Road. An 18-year-old Montague man was the single occupant of the vehicle. The accident report was not completed, so it was not immediately known if the driver was injured. According to Central Dispatch information, Life EMS and the Shelby-Benona Fire Department assisted at the scene.
