Driver passed out at gas pump faces OWI charge.

NEW ERA – A 20-year-old Shelby woman who told Oceana County sheriff’s deputies she had overdosed on drugs while she was being placed under arrest for operating while intoxicated Friday, Sept. 27, at 4:18 a.m. was found passed out in the driver’s seat of a vehicle by the gas pumps at the Wesco convenience store on First Street, said Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.
The suspect was transported to Mercy Health Partners Lakeshore Campus in Shelby, where staff advised that she needed to stay for observation, Mast said.
She received an appearance ticket for OWI.

– 3 a.m., (MSP), a 29-year-old Muskegon man was arrested on a warrant, US 31 near South Oceana Drive, Grant Township.
– 12:50 p.m., (MSP), one-vehicle crash, no injuries, Blair Street, Village of New Era.
– 6:38 p.m., (OCSO), domestic assault involving a juvenile, Chapita Hills Road, Village of Shelby.
– 10:31 p.m., (OCSO), a 24-year-old Hesperia man was arrested for domestic assault, East Loop Road, Newfield Township.
– 11:18 p.m., (MSP), one-vehicle crash, no injuries, 204th Avenue near McLaren Road, Newfield Township.
