Crash closes US 31.

WEARE TOWNSHIP – A single-vehicle crash closed northbound US 31 north of Monroe Road Tuesday night, Sept. 10, and an Aeromed helicopter was dispatched to the scene.

According to dispatch information, an SUV with two occupants went off the roadway near Hammett Road and crashed into some trees around 10 p.m. Hart Area Fire Department Jaws of Life was called to extricate at least one of the victims. Pentwater Fire Department also responded, along with law enforcement and Life EMS.
