Free chronic pain self-management workshop begins Oct. 2.

HART – Developed by Stanford University, Chronic Pain PATH (Personal Action Towards Health) provides information and techniques to cope with the challenges associated with chronic pain management.

The workshop is scheduled for Wednesdays, from 2-4:30 p.m., Oct. 2 through Nov. 13, at the Oceana County Services Building at 844 S. Griswold St. There will not be a session Oct. 30.

A variety of self-management tools, such as communicating with healthcare professionals, managing medications, and stress reduction, are explored. The free, six-session Chronic Pain PATH workshop is for adults living with chronic pain and their family caregivers. PATH is taught by trained and certified co-leaders who understand chronic illness and have a personal connection to chronic pain.

To achieve the full benefit of Chronic Pain PATH, plan to attend all six workshops.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Contact Naomi at 231-845-3362 or hysonaom@msu.edu for more information or to register, or register online at: https://events.anr.msu.edu/ChronicPainPATHHartFall2019/.
