HART – The following were arraigned recently in 78th District Court:

Felonies

Vasquez-Melchor

– Hector Francisco Vasquez-Melchor, 21, of 101 S. 72nd Ave., Shelby, was arrested by the State, Sheriffs’, Chiefs’ Enforcement of Narcotics Team (SSCENT) for a felony of delivery/manufacture of a narcotic/cocaine 50-224 grams. Preliminary exam: Sept. 3 at 3 p.m. Bail: $20,000/cash/surety/10 percent.

Olvera

– Steve Olvera, 19, of 98 Sessions Rd., Shelby, was arrested by SSCENT for a felony of delivery/manufacture of a narcotic/cocaine 50-224 grams. Preliminary exam: Sept. 3 at 3 p.m. Bail: $20,000/cash/surety/10 percent.

Camarero-Otero

– Juan Miguel Camarero-Otero, 29, of 3071 W. Baseline Rd., Shelby, was arrested by SSCENT for a felony of delivery/manufacture of a narcotic/cocaine 50-224 grams. Preliminary exam: Sept. 3 at 3 p.m. Bail: $10,000/cash/surety/10 percent.

Rice

– Steven Geno Rice, 22, of 1242 V. Hazel Rd., Hart, was arrested by SSCENT for felony charges of methamphetamine possession and analogues possession. Preliminary exam: Sept. 3 at 3 p.m. Bail: $7,500/cash/surety/10 percent.

Bond

– Clinton Lee Bond, 34, of 7680 E. Yonker Rd., Hesperia, was arrested by the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) for a felony of fugitive from justice. Extradition hearing: Aug. 26 at 3 p.m. Bail: $30,000/cash. Bond also faces a misdemeanor charge of operating without insurance stemming from a Shelby Police Department (SPD) arrest. Pretrial: Aug. 29 at 10 a.m.

Crain

– Christine Ann Crain, 49, of 526 E. Arthur Rd., Rothbury, was arrested by the Michigan State Police (MSP) for felony charges of embezzlement $1,000-$20,000 and larceny by conversion $1,000-$20,000. Preliminary exam: Sept. 9 at 3 p.m. Bail: $20,000/cash/surety/10 percent.

Hanks

– Laurie Kay Hanks, 58, of 451 West St., Howell, Michigan, was arrested by OCSO for a felony of third-offense operating while intoxicated (OWI). Preliminary exam: Sept. 3 at 3 p.m. Bail: $15,000/cash/surety/10 percent.

Smith

– Timothy Wayne Smith, 41, of 4101 S. Riverview Dr., Hesperia, was arrested by OCSO for a felony of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police. Preliminary exam: Sept. 9 at 3 p.m. Bail: $7,500/cash/surety/10 percent.
