Experienced anglers, other volunteers needed for Lakefest.

HART – Hart Main Street is looking for seasoned anglers willing to volunteer at the Youth Fishing Derby during Lakefest Saturday, Aug. 17, on Hart Lake.

The derby will run from 9 a.m. to noon at John Gurney Park.

The lake-centered event also features a kayak scavenger hunt, a cardboard boat race, music and lots more.

Volunteer tasks for the derby include registration, which starts at 8:30 a.m.; helping kids and giving them tips as they compete in different categories; and measuring fish.

More volunteer opportunities include directing traffic and parking, information, event registration, and other activity help.
