BENONA TOWNSHIP – A 24-year-old Shelby man was arrested for felonious assault after allegedly swinging a police-style baton at another man, barely missing him, Sunday, Aug. 4, shortly before 9:30 p.m. in the 6400 block of West Buchanan Road, according to Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.

The suspect was later arrested by deputies at his own home.

– 8:57 a.m., (OCSO), indecent exposure, victim reported an incident that occurred in October of 2018, 1000 block of West Arthur Road, Grant Township.

– 8:30 p.m., (Michigan State Police), domestic assault, 2000 block of Scenic View Drive, Village of Rothbury.

– 8:41 p.m., (OCSO), a 38-year-old Walkerville man was arrested for driving while license suspended (DWLS), 144th Avenue near Minke Road, Crystal Township.

Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019:

– 9:34 a.m., (MSP), a 29-year-old Grand Blanc man was arrested on a fugitive warrant, 8000 block of West Fox Road, Mears.

– 5:02 p.m., (OCSO), a 53-year-old Holton was cited for driving without a license and a 61-year-old Twin Lake man was cited for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate, Skeels Road, Otto Township.

– 7:50 p.m., (OCSO), an 18-year-old Rothbury woman was arrested for driving without a license, Wilke Road near 116th Avenue, Otto Township.

– 8:25 p.m., (OCSO), assault, 1700 block of West Grant Road, Shelby Township.

– 10:07 p.m,. (OCSO), domestic assault, 900 block of East Taylor Road, Elbridge Township.

Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019:

– 2 a.m., (MSP), one-vehicle crash, no injuries, Grant Road and 54th Avenue, Benona Township.

– 11 a.m., (MSP), two-vehicle crash, no injuries, Shore Drive and 24th Avenue, Golden Township.

– 11:150 a.m., (MSP), stolen license plate, 4000 block of North Ridge Road, Golden Township.

– 8:57 p.m., (OCSO), a 34-year-old Muskegon man was arrested for open intoxicants on a highway after a sheriff’s deputy observed the man throw a beer can in the ditch while walking down the road, Oceana Drive near Yale Road, Grant Township.
