BENONA TOWNSHIP – The thief or thieves who broke into the Stony Lake Inn must not be vegetarians, because they stole three ribeye steaks in addition to an undisclosed amount of cash.
The break-in at the restaurant, located at 4722 Scenic Dr., occurred some time between 5 and 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, said Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.
The restaurant was locked, and forced entry was made through a window, Mast said.
“It’s an open investigation, and we’re following up on leads,” he said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 231-873-2121.
