Horse show honors Kaitlynn Scott.
HART – The Oceana County 4-H Program & the Montague Equestrian Teams are hosting the Kaitlynn Scott Memorial Show, in honor of an Oceana County 4-H’er who tragically died in an accident last June.
The event will be an open youth/adult speed and jumping show Saturday, July 27, at 9 a.m at the Oceana County Fairgrounds.
Kaitlynn’s father, Eric Scott, also died as a result of his injuries.
In conjunction with the show, there will be a silent auction and T-shirt drive. The silent auction is sponsored by Companion Animal Veterinary Services in Shelby.
“Our programs are hosting this event to raise money for the Scott family,” said 4-H Program Coordinator for Oceana County Sarah Schaner. “All proceeds will be donated to them to recover from this life-changing event.”
The 4-H office and Companion Animal Veterinary Office are taking monetary and item donations for the silent auction.
