4-H petting zoos.

If you missed the first opportunity to attend a free petting zoo in Oceana County, there are two more opportunities coming up.

The Oceana County 4-H Program is hosting three free petting zoos open to the public this summer to learn about animal science. Kids are providing animals ranging from rabbits and poultry to beef and horses. Learn about these animals and how you can raise them in the 4-H Program.

The petting zoos will be at the Shelby Library Wednesday, July 24, from 10 a.m to noon and at the Hart Farmer’s Market Thursday, Aug 1, from 3-6 p.m. The first one was last Friday, July 12, at the Pentwater Library.

For more information, contact 4-H Program Coordinator Sarah Schaner at ‪(231) 873-2129‬.
