HART – A 48-year-old Hesperia woman who worked at a Hesperia laundromat is accused of stealing money out of the washers and dryers, according to Oceana County Prosecutor Joseph Bizon.

Teresa Lee Pless-Brandt, of 9135 Fox Rd., was arrested by the Hesperia Police Department on three felony counts of breaking and entering a coin-operated device. The charge is punishable by up to three years in prison.

“She is accused of accessing the washing machines/dryers and stealing the coins,” said Bizon. “The amount of loss has yet to be determined.”

A preliminary exam in 78th District Court is set for July 22 at 3 p.m. Pless-Brandt posted 10 percent of a $1,000 bond.

“Any person accused of a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty,” Bizon said.
