Stony Lake Road closed.

CLAYBANKS AND BENONA TOWNSHIPS – Stony Lake Road between Scenic Drive and the S curves will be closed for the rest of this week, according to the Oceana County Road Commission.

Local residents will be able to access their homes.

Hallack Contracting is crushing/shaping the road and will likely be done by the weekend. Weather permitting and if the work goes smoothly, paving will be done next week.

Other road commission project updates:

Oceana Drive: the base will be put on Friday and/or Saturday from Jackson Road to 1,000 feet north of Monroe Road. The top course will be put on from Lever Road to north of Monroe Road next week.

East Hills and Pine Grove roads will be paved late next week.

48th Avenue from Scenic Drive to Webster Road, the top course will be put down next week.
