HART – The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:
Brandon Lee Chase, 39, of 9415 W. Grant Rd., Walkerville, pleaded “no contest” May 28 to second-offense domestic violence and was sentenced to six months probation; one year discretionary jail with credit for 26 days served; no contact with the victim; and $600 in fines and costs. One count of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder was dismissed.
Charles Edwin Howe, 67, of 2615 Marquette Circle Dr., Baldwin, was found guilty May 28 of disorderly person – drunk and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail; and $450 in fines and costs. One count of third-degree retail fraud was dismissed.
Beverley Jayne Watson, 69, of 7054 Lakeshore Dr., Walkerville, was found guilty May 28 of driving an unregistered vehicle and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $215 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
Adrianna Brittane Sawdy, 21, of 49 S. Winter St., Hesperia, was found guilty May 23 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
Mitchell Aaron Robinson, 39, of 2725 E. Forrest St., Rothbury, was found guilty May 23 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). Charges of operating without security and improper plates were dismissed.
Bobby Gene Gardner, 51, of 1731 W. Coolidge St., Bitely, was found guilty May 23 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $305 in fines and costs. One count of second-offense driving while license suspended (DWLS) was dismissed.
Paul Loren Devries, 50, of 1975 Crabtree Lane, Jenison, was found guilty May 23 of failure to prevent spread of fire and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $575 in fines and costs. “Defendant to contact prosecutor after 30 days to file a dismissal,” his court states.
Lee Ryan Sawdy, 38, of 207 E. Lever Rd., Hart, was found guilty May 22 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
Miguel Flores-Villalba, 39, of 140 White St., Shelby was found guilty May 22 of operating without license on person and was sentenced to $200 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
Dismissals
– Maribel Hernandez, 46, of 538 E. Jackson Rd., Hart, one count of truancy dismissed May 24.
– Christian Louis Cooley, 19, of 184 E. Calumet Rd., Twin Lake, one count of marijuana possession was dismissed May 28.
