Hesperia man airlifted following crash.

FERRY TOWNSHIP – A 49-year-old Hesperia man suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash Sunday, May 26, shortly after 4 p.m. on 132nd Avenue near Shelby Road.
The man, who told police he had been drinking, was airlifted to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, according to the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office accident report.
He was traveling north on 132nd Avenue in a 2004 Chevrolet Impala when his vehicle crossed the centerline, went off the roadway and struck a tree. He told sheriff’s deputies that “he had been drinking and does not remember the accident,” the report states.
He was wearing a seatbelt.
