Assault arrests top police activity.

The following is recent activity in Oceana County:

Friday, March 15, 2019:

2:56 p.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), a 67-year-old homeless man was arrested for retail fraud and disorderly person after allegedly trying to steal fishing lures from the Hesperia Sport Shop, Village of Hesperia.

9:09 p.m., (OCSO), a 35-year-old Fremont man was arrested for second-offense driving while license suspended and for outstanding warrants, South Division Street, Village of Hesperia.

9:57 p.m., (OCSO), a 44-year-old Walkerville man was arrested for operating while intoxicated following a vehicle crash, East Madison Road near 144th Avenue, Crystal Township. No injuries occurred.

Saturday, March 16, 2019:

9:13 p.m., (OCSO), a 45-year-old Shelby man was arrested for assault, Stony Lake Inn, Benona Township.

Sunday, March 17, 2019:

5:23 p.m., (OCSO), felonious assault allegedly involving a gun, East Harrison Road, Elbridge Township. The case, which involves a 54-year-old Hart man as the suspect, is being turned over to the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

8:11 p.m., (OCSO), a 35-year-old Hart woman was arrested for domestic assault, 3000 block of North Oceana Drive, Hart Township.

Monday, March 18, 2019:

4 p.m., (OCSO), stalking, South Oak Lane Drive, Grant Township.

9:30 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 19-year-old Hesperia man was a cited for unlawful license plate, Riverview Drive and M 20, Newfield Township.

10:40 p.m., (MSP), car/deer crash, Taylor Road and 122nd Avenue, Elbridge Township.
