Lucille “Sis” (Mulholland) Bos, 99, of Ludington and Hart.

Lucille “Sis” (Mulholland) Bos, 99, entered into God’s loving arms on Thursday, January 31, 2019.

She was born Lucille Evelyn Anderson in Chicago on April 3, 1919, the second of Ernest and Helna Anderson’s five children. She enjoyed a great childhood, playing in Gallistal School’s playground across the street and attending activities at Bethel Free Church where she accepted Jesus as her Savior at age 12. During summers she played with neighbors and the backyard chickens, attended family and church picnics at Caulmet Park by Lake Michigan, and worked at family friends’ farms in Pentwater.

Preceding her in death were parents, Ernest and Helna Anderson, first husband, Wilbur “Will” Mulholland in 1970, second husband Corniel “Neil” Bos in 2012, brother Lawrence “Bud” Anderson and wife Avery, brother Raymond Anderson, brother-in-law Bob J. Cook, brother-in-law Vernon Mulholland wife Gladys and granddaughter Kylie Erdman.

Surviving are: sister-in-law Julienne Anderson; brother Wilford (Nancy) Anderson; sister Betty Cook; her sons, Wayne (Georgia) Mulholland, Bruce (Susan) Mulholland, Craig (Jackie) Mullholland, Brent Mulholland, along with stepdaughters, Cheri (Gary) Michaels, Lora Bos, Barb (Marvin) Malburg; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and a loving number of nieces and nephews.

Lucille was a stay-at-home mom until her boys were in school and then was employed at Topps department store in LaGrange, Ill. After her first husband’s passing, she moved to Ludington and worked for food service at Ludington High School until marrying her second husband and retiring to Hart. She relocated to Grand Ledge before failing health placed her into Eaton County Medical Care (ECHRS) in Charlotte.

She enjoyed crafts, sewing, and travelling and ‘being on the go’, visiting her missionary brother and family in Venezuela, adding Michigan, California, Kansas, Florida, Louisiana, Texas, Tennessee, Washington, Colorado, Arizona, Niagara Falls  and Spain to her vacation visits. She sang in the church choir, was pianist at Bethel Free Church, accompanying her husband and two sons in their trumpet trio, taught Sunday school, sang in Billy Graham’s Chicago Crusade choir and was a counselor.

She was most happy in spending time with her family, who will receive friends at Oak Grove Funeral Home of Ludington, on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 4 to 7 p.m.  The funeral service will be at her member church, Trinity Evangelical Free Church on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 11 a.m., with a visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Ludington. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to LATN (Latin American Training Network), 3325 Hollywood Blvd., Ste. 400-B, Hollywood, Fl. 33021.
