Electric Forest tickets sell out within hours.

ROTHBURY – Just hours after tickets went on sale for the Electric Forest Festival Friday Dec. 7, organizers announced the tickets were sold out.

The gigantic music festival that attracts 50,000 or more people from across the country and beyond announced last week that it was downsizing from a two-weekend format to a one-weekend event in 2019.

Tickets went on sale at noon Friday, and a post before 5 p.m. on the Electric Forest Facebook page announced that tickets were sold out.

The festival, which takes place at the Double JJ Resort, offered a two-weekend format the previous two years in 2017 and 2018.

The 2019 festival is scheduled for June 27-30. The event will be the ninth consecutive Electric Forest Festival, which started back in 2011. ROTHBURY, a similar festival, took place at the Double JJ in 2008 and 2009.
