Man accused of shooting school windows arraigned.

PENTWATER – Gavin Krueger-Swanderski, 22, of 6137 Wayne Rd., Pentwater, was arraigned in 78th District Court on a felony charge of malicious destruction of property and two misdemeanor charges of MDOP for allegedly shooting the Pentwater Public School windows with a B-B gun last week, causing approximately $3,000 in damages.
Swanderski also allegedly shot and shattered windows of two vehicles.
“The incident occurred while the school was unoccupied,” said
Pentwater Police Chief Laude Hartrum. “At no time were students or citizens in any danger.”
Swanderski may face additional charges as the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two additional reports of windows being broken out, Hartrum said.
Pentwater police, assisted by the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office, investigated the crime scene Wednesday morning, Nov. 21, and later that evening Swanderski was arrested.
Swanderski’s bond was set at $25,000/cash/surety. He is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 10 at 3 p.m. for a preliminary conference.
