HART – The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Michael Anthony Cruz, 28, of 106 Hilltop Dr., Hart, was found guilty Oct. 29 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 28 days in jail with credit for 28 days served; six months probation; 93 days discretionary jail; outpatient treatment; immobilize vehicle for 90 days or remove name from title within 30 days; and $940 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Travis Michael Gale, 26, of 5178 W. Fox Rd., Mears, was found guilty Oct. 29 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); 93 days discretionary jail; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Robert Micolay Bernard, 37, of 2706 Brunswick Ave., Flint, was found guilty Oct. 23 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $290 in fines and costs.

– Roel Belmares, 24, of 5256 N. 176th Ave., Walkerville, was found guilty Oct. 26 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of second-offense driving while license suspended was dismissed.

– Jeremy Eugene Hovey, 28, of 128 S. 66th Ave., Shelby, was found guilty Oct. 29 of disorderly person – jostling and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $400 in fines and costs. One count of second-offense domestic violence was dismissed.

– David Walter Pyle, 58, of 23189 Baypoint Dr., Farmington Hills, Michigan, was found guilty Oct. 29 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $365 in fines and costs.

– George Andrew Gentz, 42, of 831 Turner Ave., Muskegon, pleaded “no contest” April 2 to a misdemeanor count of unlawful driving away of an automobile and was sentenced Oct. 29 to 90 days discretionary jail and $450 in fines and costs.

– Dana Marie-Elizabeth Carter, 43, of 8273 W. Stony Lake Rd., New Era, was found guilty Oct. 29 of operating while impaired and sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; AHSE; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Charges of operating while intoxicated, operating with the presence of drugs and marijuana possession were dismissed.

– Travis Nathan Veine, 46, of 3126 W. Jackson Rd., Hart, was found guilty Oct. 29 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; AHSE; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating with a high blood alcohol content (BAC) was dismissed.

– Kevin Thomas Knowles, 28, of 9420 E. Filmore Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Oct. 9 of attempted assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced Oct. 29 to one year discretionary jail and $500 in fines and costs. Charges of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and retail fraud were dismissed.

Dismissals

– Phillip Joseph Seacord, 72, of 2035 S. 204th Ave., Hesperia, charges of disorderly person and reckless use of a firearm were dismissed Oct. 29 per a six-month deferred sentence.

– Travis James McCann, 20, of 403 Lincoln St., Hart, one count of third-degree retail fraud was dismissed Oct. 29.
