Police officer assault tops 27th Circuit Court sentencings.

HART – The following were sentenced recently in 27th Circuit Court:

– Rogelio Noel Saldana, 28, of 6415 E. Garfield Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty July 30 of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced Oct. 22 to 167 days in jail with credit for 167 days served; two years probation; and $458 in fines and costs. Two counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and one misdemeanor count of domestic violence were dismissed.

– Robert John McCann, 49, of 6766 E. Skeels Rd., Holton, was found guilty Aug. 27 of third-offense operating while intoxicated and was sentenced Oct. 22 to 90 days in jail with credit for two days served; 18 months probation; and $973 in fines, costs and restitution. “If defendant is released on work release, he must be placed on an alcohol tether,” his court file states. “He must pay a supervision fee of $2,430 as ordered by the court.” Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Barrington Emmanuel Brown, 23, of 4128 Twin Terrace, Portage, Michigan, was found guilty Aug. 27 of methamphetamine possession and was sentenced Oct. 22 to 193 days in jail with credit for 193 days served; driver’s license suspended
