HART – The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:
– Phillip Edward Scudder, Jr., 62, of 2600 Weesies Rd., Montague, was found guilty Oct. 22 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); 93 days discretionary jail; gun to be forfeited to the state; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). Charges of carrying a concealed weapon while under the influence and operating while intoxicated (OWI) were dismissed.
– Angela Faye Rodriguez, 41, of 2267 Custer St., Custer, was found guilty Oct. 22 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail and $450 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Charges of operating without insurance and unlawful license plate were dismissed.
– Karen Stevens Chandler, 56, of 7347 Loma Linda Dr., NE, Rockford, was found guilty Oct. 22 of disorderly – drunk and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $400 in fines and costs. Charges of OWI and driving while license expired were dismissed.
– Nathan Thomas Leo, 24, of 1344 Malperow NW, Grand Rapids, was found guilty Oct. 22 of OWI and was sentenced to outpatient treatment; 93 days discretionary jail; and $1,155 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Benjamin Scott Davey, 38, of 7792 N. 186th Ave., Walkerville, was found guilty Oct. 16 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of no insurance was dismissed.
– Cody Douglas Reynolds, 26, of 5691 Elm Rd., Olivet, was found guilty Oct. 16 of unlawful license plate and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $215 in fines and costs.
– Jacob Wayne Johnson, 33, of 1023 Alice St., Whitehall, was found guilty Oct. 16 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of second-offense DWLS was dismissed.
– Andrew Scott VanDyken, 26, of 3496 S. Harvest Ct., Zeeland, was found guilty Oct. 17 of driving an unregistered vehicle and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $215 in fines and costs.
– Kristen Ann Armstrong, 45, of 1530 Pine St., Muskegon, was found guilty Oct. 17 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
Dismissals
– Todd Hiram Tufts, 43, of 3241 N. 72nd Ave., Hart, felony charges of uttering and publishing and forgery were dismissed Oct. 22.
– Brandon James Frederick, 20, of 8685 Peddler Lake, Clarksville, one count of DWLS was dismissed Oct. 22.
