HART – The Mears United Methodist Church recently donated $1,500 to the Oceana County Council on Aging’s new senior center.

The church had a car show and soup supper Sept. 19 to benefit the council on aging, and a group from the church recently presented a check to OCCOA Associate Director Stephanie Moore.

“This money is greatly appreciated and will go towards any additional needs for the new senior center,” said Expansion Committee Member Robin Rash.

The new senior center is being constructed at 4350 W. Tyler Road in Hart.

On Wednesday, October 17th, members of the Mears Methodist Church presented OCCOA with a generous donation of $1,500 for the OCCOA Building Fund, which was raised during the Car Show and Soup Supper that the church held in September.
