HART – The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Lucas Wade Darling, 50, of 7053 N. Hilltop Ct., Pentwater, was found guilty Sept. 24 of malicious use of telecommunications services and was sentenced to six months discretionary jail; $2,986 in restitution; and $400 in fines and costs.

– Gregory Scott Carlson, 33, of 1815 N. 24th Ave., Mears, was found guilty Sept. 24 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to outpatient treatment; 93 days discretionary jail; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). Charges of marijuana possession, operating without insurance, operating with the presence of drugs, and operating while intoxicated with an occupant under age 16 were dismissed.

– Dawn Marie Britton, 54, of 5224 Whitehall Rd., Muskegon, was found guilty Sept. 24 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Melinda Ann VanDerZanden, 34, of 7403 E. Adams, Walkerville, was found guilty Sept. 24 of third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; $17 restitution; and $450 in fines and costs.

– Breehona Arleen Ball, 25, of 5262 E. High Tower Lake Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Sept. 24 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to outpatient treatment; 93 days discretionary jail; and $1,105 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Miguel Angel Guerrero, 37, of 201 State St., Shelby, was found guilty Sept. 10 of second-offense operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to nine days in jail; six months probation; one year discretionary jail; no alcohol/drugs; subject to counseling, searches and testing; and $1,830 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Charges of second-offense DWLS and third-offense operating while intoxicated were dismissed.

– Astrolavio Cisneros, 52, of 3104 Baseline Rd., Shelby, was found guilty Sept. 24 of disorderly person – jostling and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $400 in fines and costs. One count of domestic violence was dismissed.

– Ronald Lawrence Hunter, 35, of 4171 Meinert Park Rd., Montague, was found guilty Sept. 24 of marijuana possession and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Kevin Andrew Rasor, 40, of 8467 Robinhood Dr., Montague, was found guilty Sept. 24 of malicious telephone use to threaten and was sentenced to six months discretionary jail and $500 in fines and costs. One count of threatening a Department of Health and Human Services worker was dismissed.

– Michael Anthony Cruz, 27, of 4885 Wayne Rd., Pentwater, was found guilty Sept. 24 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to outpatient treatment; 93 days discretionary jail; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Joseph Ryan Mossell, 20, of 3419 S. Main St., Southbend, Ind., was found guilty Sept. 24 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Randall Jacob Rodriguez, 25, of 300 N. 136th Ave., Hart, was found guilty Sept. 24 of malicious destruction of personal property less than $200 and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; $150 in restitution; and $400 in fines and costs.

– Garry Lee Scharphorn, 25, of 5984 S. 56th Ave., New Era, was found guilty Sept. 24 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); 93 days discretionary jail; and $1,055 in fines, costs and restitution. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Miguel Angel Acosta, 24, of 872 N. 88th Ave., Hart, was found guilty Sept. 24 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to AHSE; 93 days discretionary jail; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Charges of operating while intoxicated and improper license were dismissed.

– Joshua A. Morrett, 26, of 172 Benton St., Rochester, NY, was found guilty Sept. 18 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $400 in fines and costs. One count of marijuana possession was dismissed.

– Bradley James Skofic, 40, of 2948 W. Tahoe Trail, New Era, pleaded “no contest” Sept. 19 of trespassing and was sentenced to 30 days discretionary jail for one year and $325 in fines and costs. One count of illegal entry was dismissed.

– David Martin Greiner, 29, of 509 Wood St., Hart, was found guilty Sept. 18 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of second-offense DWLS was dismissed.

– Thomas Nelson Scouter, 53, of 8547 W. Huey Dr., New Era, was found guilty Sept. 18 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of second-offense DWLS was dismissed.

– Ryan Anthony Featherstone, 36, of 117 N. Clinton Ave., Saint John’s, was found guilty Sept. 18 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of driving while commercial driver’s license suspended was dismissed.

– Mark Faez Kacho, 24, of 5073 Chadbourne Dr., Sterling Heights, was found guilty Sept. 18 of open intoxicants and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Kyle Martin Brigham, 34, of 10575 13 Mile Rd., Rodney, was found guilty Sept. 18 of operating an ORV on a public road and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $250 in fines and costs. One count of improper license plate was dismissed.

– Corrine Marie Smit, 40, of 3632 E. 6 Mile Rd., White Cloud, was found guilty Sept. 19 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Kenneth Scott Conklin, 44, of 1733 Coolidge Rd., Rochester, was found guilty Sept. 20 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Jared Owen McKiddie, 19, of 2372 W. Cleveland Rd., New Era, was found guilty Sept. 19 of unlawful license plate use and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $215 in fines and costs.

– Jose Salvador Arias, 45, of 212 E. Jackson Rd., Hart, was found guilty Sept. 19 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Curtis James Dassau, 42, of 4919 S. Green St., Fremont, was found guilty Sept. 20 of improper plates and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $215 in fines and costs.

– Paul Madison Phillips, 33, of 7403 Adams Rd., Walkerville, was found guilty Sept. 19 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Robert Charles Brown, 33, of 3404 N. 140th Ave., Hart, was found guilty Sept. 21 of DWLS and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– James L. Jewell, 55, of 2268 Oak Park Dr., Muskegon, was found guilty Sept. 18 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $290 in fines and costs.

– Ronald Wade Bunting, Jr., 39, of 2616 W. Skeels Rd., Montague, was found guilty Sept. 18 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Dismissal

– Deana Rae Evans, one count of disorderly person drunk was dismissed Sept, 24 through a deferred sentence.
