Woman hospitalized after falling out of truck.

GRANT TOWNSHIP – A 23-year-old Rothbury woman was transported by Oceana County EMS to Mercy Health Partners Lakeshore Campus in Shelby for non-life-threatening injuries after falling out of a moving pickup truck Wednesday night, Sept. 26, according to Michigan State Police Trooper Kelsey Case.
The incident occurred shortly before 10 p.m. on Winston Road in the vicinity of 100th Avenue near the Village of Rothbury.
“The passenger told the driver to stop, and as he was slowing down, she opened the door and fell out,” Case said.
Alcohol was involved, the trooper said. However, no criminal charges are being filed.
The Grant Township Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
