Woman hurt after car hydroplanes, hits construction barrel on US 31.

HART TOWNSHIP — A 35-year-old Whitehall woman received minor injuries Wednesday, Sept. 5, at about 5:30 p.m. when her 2016 Chevrolet Cruz hydroplaned on the rain-slicked pavement on southbound US 31 and hit a construction barrel, according to an Oceana County Sheriff’s Office accident report.
The woman was traveling through the construction zone near Taylor Road when the right side of her car struck the barrel and went into the ditch.
According to the report, she was treated at the scene by Oceana County EMS, but was not hospitalized. She was wearing a seat belt.
