Passenger sustains minor injuries in Jeep rollover.

CRYSTAL TOWNSHIP — A 13-year-old Charlotte, Michigan girl, who was a passenger in a 1999 Jeep Wrangler that crashed on East River Road Saturday night. Sept. 1, suffered minor injuries, according to an Oceana County Sheriff’s Office accident report.

The crash occurred shortly before 11:30 p.m. near North 126th Avenue, the report states.

The driver was a 27-year-old Mulliken, Michigan man.

“(He) was traveling west on River Road when he took the corner too fast,” the report states. “(He) was unable to keep control of the vehicle causing it to overturn. There where minor injuries in this incident. The vehicle was damaged heavily.”

Neither the driver nor a 19-year-old male passenger were injured, the report states.

The girl did not require hospitalization, states the report. The driver and the two passengers were wearing seat belts.
