Man injured when moped hits turkey.

COLFAX TOWNSHIP — A 59-year-old Jackson man was injured when his moped hit a turkey Sunday, Aug. 12, shortly after 8 a.m. on East Madison Road east of 168th Avenue near Walkerville.
The man, who was wearing a helmet, was operating a 2015 Yahama. He told police that he was eastbound on Madison Road when a turkey walked out in front of his moped. He said he hit the turkey; lost control of his moped; and was ejected from it, causing injury, according to an Oceana County Sheriff’s Office accident report.
