HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:
– Hunter Keith Swift, 19, of 330 Merrill Ave., Muskegon, was found guilty Aug. 6 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; must complete counseling; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.
– Keisha Ann Standfuss, 26, of 20 N. Clymer St., Pentwater, was found guilty Aug. 6 of marijuana possession and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail; driver’s license suspended one year/restricted after 60 days; and $400 in fines and costs.
– Michael Patrick Canning, 54, of 3893 E. Yonker Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Aug. 6 of second-offense driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail and $440 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Kara Louise Knowles, 24, of 4570 N. 176th Ave., Walkerville, was found guilty of disorderly person – drunk and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $450 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.
– Blake Andrew Barrette, 17, of 105 W. Melendy St., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 1 of minor in possession of alcohol (MIP) was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Melisa Kaye Myers, 31, of 11987 W. US 10, Branch, was found guilty of DWLS was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Cameron Johnson McCulley, 28, of 180 S. Hancock St., Pentwater, was found guilty July 31 of malicious destruction of property (MDOP) less than $200 was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail and $550 in fines, costs and restitution.
– William Charles Dutcher, 60, of 8421 7 Mile Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Aug. 2 of allowing a person to drive in violation was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail over the next year and $290 in fines and costs. One count operating a commercial vehicle without proper group designation was dismissed.
– Jerry Lee Huck, 63, of 2711 Filmore Rd., Hart, was found guilty Aug. 2 of allowing a person to drive in violation was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
– Randall Lee Huntley, 62, of 9926 Blue Lake Rd., Twin Lake, was found guilty Aug. 3 of DWLS was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Brady Jerome Jones, 58, of Muskegon, was found guilty Aug. 3 of DWLS was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail over the next year and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Joseph Alan Wilkinson, 19, of 13084 N. Woodbridge Ave., Bitely, was found guilty Aug. 1 of improper plates was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $215 in fines and costs.
– Jessica Elizabeth Gill, 26, of 13551 Moises Flores Rd., Edcouch, Texas, was found guilty Aug. 1 of driving while license not valid was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Diego Alberto Cruz, 31, of 14470 Balsam St., Southgate, Michigan, was found guilty Aug. 1 of ORV – operating an unreasonable speed was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $275 in fines and costs.
– Jacklyn Sue Sawdy, 32, of 7438 N. 128th Ave., Hart, was found guilty Aug. 1 of violation of a restricted license was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $250 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– John Perry DeKryger, 45, of 6147 W. 32nd St., Fremont, was found guilty Aug. 1 of driving an unregistered vehicle/no trailer plate and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $215 in fines and costs.
– Olga C. Arteaga, 40, of 5742 S. Okemos Trail, New Era, was found guilty Aug. 3 of driving while license expired was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $225 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
Dismissals
– Margarito Rocha, 38, of 6827 N. 126th Ave., Hart, one count of truancy was dismissed Aug. 6. “It is not in the interest of justice to move forward with this matter,” according to court records.
– Esperanza Rocha, 38, of 2919 E. Sout Rd., Hart, two counts of truancy were dismissed Aug. 2. “It is not in the interest of justice to to move forward with this matter,” according to court records.
– Timothy David Wert, 37, of 5923 W. Stony Lake Rd., Shelby, one count of second-offense domestic violence was dismissed Aug. 2. “The victim in the matter contacted the prosecutor’s office and made it clear that she is unwilling to cooperate with the prosecution of the defendant,” his court file states.
– Jack F. Ferrell, 52, of 844 E. Remington Square, La Porte,, Indiana, one count operating an. ORV at an unreasonable speed was dismissed Aug. 2. “Upon receiving additional information regarding the incident…it is not in the interest of justice to move forward with this matter,” his court file states.
