Motorcyclists seriously injured following crash with pickup.

GRANT TOWNSHIP — Two people were seriously injured Saturday afternoon following a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck. According to the Michigan State Police Hart Post, the crash occurred when a pickup truck, driven by a 45-year-old Spring Lake man was traveling eastbound on Winston Road, east of US 31 apparently attempted to make a left turn into a private driveway into the path of a westbound motorcycle. The passengers of the motorcycle, a 41-year-old Muskegon woman and a 57-year-old Muskegon man, were ejected from the bike. Neither were wearing helmets.

The injured motorcyclists were transported by ambulance to Mercy Health Hackle Hospital in Muskegon.

Responding to the scene were MSP, Oceana County Sheriff’s Office, Grant Township Fire Department, Rothbury Police Department, and Oceana County EMS.  The crash remains under investigation.
