Drunk driving arrests top police activity.


SHELBY TOWNSHIP — A 36-year-old Shelby man was arrested by Michigan State Police troopers Tuesday, July 17, at 8:25 p.m. on Oceana Drive and Buchanan Road for third-offense operating while intoxicated (OWI), second-offense driving while license suspended (DWLS) and on an outstanding warrant, said Sgt. Charles Hockanson.

The suspect was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

– 11:45 p.m., a 23-year-old Fremont man was arrested for OWI, Garfield and Maple Island roads, Greenwood Township.

Tuesday, July 17, 2018:

– 1:10 p.m., a 44-year-old Fremont man was arrested for DWLS – revoked license, 192nd Avenue and Loop Road, Newfield Township.

– 4:11 p.m., a 31-year-old Rothbury woman was arrested for domestic violence, 2000 block of Forrest Street, Village of Rothbury.
