SHELBY — The Shelby Adolescent Health Center is a school-based health center located inside the Shelby Middle School that provides medical and counseling services for students ages 10-21 years old who live in or attend school in Oceana County.
- Primary care;
- Illness and injury treatment;
- Sports physicals, camp physicals and well child exams;
- Immunizations;
- Mental health counseling;
- Trauma assessment and treatment;
- Coordination of care; and
- Insurance enrollment.
All insurances are accepted, and there are no co-pays or out-of-pocket costs for all services. What your insurance pays is considered payment in full. Sliding scale slides to zero for those not insured. Medicaid enrollment help is available.

The staff urges parents to get their students’ sports physicals or immunizations updated before school begins.
