Hart man injured in motorcycle/deer crash.
GOLDEN TOWNSHIP — A 20-year-old Hart man suffered possible head trauma following a motorcycle vs. deer crash Friday night, July 6, on North Railroad Road south of Harrison Road, according to an Oceana County Sheriff’s Office accident report released Tuesday, July 10.
Kyle Joseph Iteen was not wearing a helmet when the 2014 Honda CRF250 he was riding hit a deer at approximately 9 p.m. Iteen was transported by Oceana County EMS to Mercy Health Partners Hackley Campus in Muskegon, according to the report.
“The motorcycle was northbound when a deer entered the roadway, and the motorcycle hit the deer,” states the report narrative. “There were skid marks just south of the location of the crash, and the deer was dead in the roadway. It was removed from the roadway.
“According to family, the driver was going to go two-tracking on Pentwater Pathways,” states the accident report. “The driver was awake and conscious at the scene. The driver could not remember what happened and was transported to Hackley in Muskegon for treatment of multiple abrasions and probable head trauma.”
