WEARE TOWNSHIP — A 29-year-old Hart woman was injured after swerving her vehicle off the road to avoid a vehicle in the wrong lane Tuesday, July 3.

The crash occurred about 7:46 a.m. when Samantha Salazar was traveling northbound on Oceana Drive in a Ford F-350 pickup truck and made a hard right turn in her vehicle to avoid striking a car that was traveling southbound in the northbound lane. The action caused the pickup to rollover several times. The other vehicle was driven by Dawn Riley (age and residency was not provided), according to a report from Oceana County Sheriff’s Office.

Salazar was transported to Mercy Health Lakeshore Campus hospital in Shelby by Oceana County EMS.
