HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Diane Marie Goodreau, 51, of 322 State St., Shelby, was found guilty June 12 of domestic violence and was sentenced to 17 days in jail with credit for 17 days served; 90 days discretionary jail; no contact with the victim; and $400 in fines and costs. One felony count of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police was dismissed.

– Robert William Holley, 57, of 988 N. Wilson Rd., Mears, pleaded “no contest” May 21 to assault and battery and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; six months probation; not to purchase/possess a firearm; subject to testing, searches and counseling; no alcohol/drugs; no assaultive behavior; and $975 in fines and costs. One felony count of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police was dismissed.

– Jason Garth Spoelhof, 20, of 8910 Warner Ave., Bitely, was found guilty June 18 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail and $75 fines. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Tristen Robert Gannon, 17, of 3109 W. Tahoe Trail, New Era, was found guilty June 18 of disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 27 days in jail with credit for 27 days served; 90 days discretionary jail; and a $75 fine. One count of malicious destruction of property less than $200 was dismissed.

– David Michael Otten, 30, of 348 Munn St., Hesperia, was found guilty June 18 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,040 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Kevin Wayne Smith, 37, of 180 Leavitt St., Walkerville, was found guilty June 18 of operating without insurance and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail and $450 in fines and costs. Charges of second-offense DWLS and operating an unregistered vehicle were dismissed.

– Markie Marie Castillo, 28, of 5497 Deer Rd., Walkerville, was found guilty June 18 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; must complete counseling; and $465 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Charges of operating while intoxicated and operating without license on person were dismissed.

– Stefanie Ann Jellema, 31, of 5414 90th Ave., New Era, was found guilty May 21 of operating while impaired by a controlled substance and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; outpatient treatment; $3,615 in restitution; and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of marijuana possession was dismissed.

– Jason Lee Voss, 40, of 378 Ionia Ave., Muskegon, was found guilty June 18 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Kristian Carole Klahr, 21, of 2846 Louis St., Rothbury, was found guilty June 18 of trespassing and was sentenced to 30 days discretionary jail and $125 in fines and costs.

– Michael Ray Hale, 31, of 105 Woodlawn Ave., Hart, was found guilty June 18 of DWLS and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail and $450 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of second-offense DWLS was dismissed.

– Tyler James Morris, 17, of 11307 Whispering Creek Dr., Allendale, was found guilty June 13 of violation of a restricted license and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $250 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Alan German Cruz-Arredondo, 26, of 2431 E. Filmore Rd., Hart, was found guilty June 13 of transporting open intoxicants and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– James Daniel Kumzi, 58, of 3544 N. Karen St., Hart, was found guilty June 13 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Jose Luis Echavarria, 61, of 4215 Sierra Madre Dr., Brownsville, Texas, was found guilty June 13 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $290 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Gregorio Echavarria Sanchez, 60, of 4215 Sierra Madre Dr., Brownsville, Texas, was found guilty June 13 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $300 in fines and costs.

– Jose J. Trevino, 22, of 94 S. 24th Ave., Shelby, was found guilty June 15 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Daniel Lee DeHoff, 28, of 11423 US 31, Montague, was found guilty June 12 of trespassing and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $325 in fines and costs.

Dismissals

– Meredith Anne Cushman, 34, of 13 E. Mechanic St., Hart, one count of disorderly person – jostling was dismissed June 18 on a delayed sentence.

– Melecio Jeronimo Santiago, 36, of 3162 W. Monroe Rd., Hart, charges of operating without insurance and operating without a license were dismissed June 15. “Cost of prosecution exceeds the interest of justice,” according to court records.

– Ginger Anne Trevino, 35, of 5724 Cherokee Bend, New Era, one count of truancy was dismissed June 19. “Defendant was able to get the child to school on a regular and continuous basis after the last pretrial,” her court file states.
