ROTHBURY — Numerous thefts of backpacks, cell phones and debit cards occurred during the Electric Forest Festival at the Double JJ Resort over the weekend, according to Michigan State Police Trooper Kelsey Case of the Hart post.
Two men were arrested on three felony charges in connection to a pickpocketing enterprise Sunday, June 24, at 2:19 a.m. A 25-year-old Miami, Florida man and a 38-year-old Queens, New York man were arrested for felony pickpocketing, conducting a criminal enterprise and conspiracy to conduct a criminal enterprise, Case said.
The pair allegedly stole numerous cell phones and debit cards.
A 30-year-old man from Los Angeles, California was arrested by troopers on two felony charges of delivery of hallucinogens and delivery of narcotics Sunday at 3:45 a.m.

Friday, June 22, 2018:
– 3:56 a.m., larceny of a cell phone from a vehicle.
– 5 a.m., larceny of a debit card and a computer.
– 10 a.m., larceny of a backpack.
– 10:35 a.m., larceny of two iPhones.
– 1 p.m., a 54-year-old Oregon man and a 48-year-old Oregon man were arrested for trespassing after allegedly going onto the festival grounds without wristbands.
– 2:11 p.m., larceny of two iPhones.
– 6:02 p.m., a 22-year-old North Carolina man was arrested for reckless driving and marijuana possession.
Saturday, June 23, 2018:
– 1:30 a.m., a 31-year-old Memphis, Tennessee man was arrested for disorderly conduct.
– 2 a.m., larceny of items from a campsite.
– 6:15 a.m., larceny of a portable radio.
– 8 a.m., larceny of a cell phone.
– 9 a.m., larceny of an iPhone.
– 11 a.m., larceny of a Samsung cell phone.
– 11:17 a.m., larceny of an iPhone and a backpack.
– 11:30 a.m., four separate reports of larcenies.
– 11:53 a.m., trespassing.
– 5 p.m., larceny of an iPhone.
– 5 a.m., larceny of a backpack, Go Pro camera, two pairs of sunglasses and a phone charger.
– 6:30 p.m., pickpocketing, an iPhone, two debit cards, a wallet and an identification card were stolen.
– 9 p.m., a 29-year-old Grand Rapids man was arrested for cocaine possession and on an outstanding warrant.
Sunday, June 24, 2018:
– 1:30 a.m., pickpocketing, an iPhone was stolen.
– 7:15 a.m., larceny from a vehicle, two iPhones, two Samsung phones and two Google phones were stolen.
– 9:50 a.m., larceny of a backpack.
– 3 p.m., multiple victims reported thefts of cell phones, cash, and credit and debit cards.
– 9:34 p.m., possession with intent to deliver drugs, ongoing investigation.
– 11:49 p.m., larceny of a cash box.
Monday, June 25, 2018:
– 4:30 a.m., larceny from a vehicle, a backpack was stolen.
– 8 a.m., larceny of an iPhone.
The massive music festival concluded the first weekend of the event Sunday, June 24, and many attendees continue to filter out of the venue Monday, June 25. The second weekend begins Wednesday, June 27, with early arrival attendees returning to the venue. Weekend II concludes Sunday, July 1, with heavy traffic leaving the festival grounds through Monday, July 2.
