Mother arrested for drunk driving after trying to pick up runaway child.

ROTHBURY — The mother of a 16-year-old girl who ran away from home was arrested for drunk driving after allegedly driving to South Marlene Street in the Village of Rothbury Friday, June 8, at 1 a.m., in an attempt to pick up the girl, according to Michigan State Police Trooper Kelsey Case.
The 47-year-old Muskegon woman was lodged in the Oceana County Jail, and the girl was picked up by a neighbor, Case said.
