HART — The following were sentenced recently in 27th Circuit Court:
– Aaron Vaughn Jacobs, 32, of 7044 N. 92nd Ave., Hart, was found guilty April 23 of probation violation and was sentenced to two to 10 years in prison with credit for 327 days served in jail; $5,314.16 in restitution; and $198 in fines and costs. Probation, which stems from a Jan. 20, 2016 conviction of breaking and entering with intent, is revoked. In a separate file, Jacobs was found guilty April 23 of probation violation and sentenced to two to four years in prison with credit for 387 days served in jail; $996.81 in restitution; and $468 in fines and costs. Probation, which stems from Oct. 24, 2016 convictions of retaining a financial transaction device without consent and illegal use of a financial transaction device, is revoked. In a third case, Jacobs was found guilty April 23 of probation violation and was sentenced to two to 10 years in prison with credit for 327 days served in jail; $200 restitution; and $233 in fines and costs. Probation, which stems from a Jan. 20, 2016 conviction of breaking and entering with intent, is revoked. All three sentences run concurrently.
– Javier Borrego, 32, of 354 Pine St., Shelby, was found guilty April
16 of probation violation and sentenced to three to 15 years in prison with credit for 458 days served in jail; $1,522 in restitution; and $315 in fines and costs. Probation, which stems from a Dec. 12, 2016 conviction of unarmed robbery, is revoked.
– Jason Lee Spears, 24, of 3652 Algonquin Dr., Muskegon, was found guilty April 23 of probation violation
and sentenced to one year in jail with credit for 187 days served and $198 in fines and costs. Probation, which stems from a March 13, 2017 conviction of third-degree fleeing a police officer, is revoked.
– Aurelio Martin Melchor, 31, of 2722 Royal Point Dr., NW, Grand Rapids, was found guilty April 18 of attempted assaulting/resisting/obstructing police
and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. “All financial assessments ordered shall be paid within 60 days (of April 18). If defendant fails to pay on or before June 17, 2018, a bench a warrant will be issued for (his) arrest and he must serve 30 days in jail,” his court file states.
– Jonickio Ramond Spears, 38, of 480 Cleveland Ave., Muskegon, was found
guilty Feb. 12 of delivery of less than 50 grams of cocaine/heroin or another narcotic and was sentenced April 23 to one year in jail; 18 months probation; driver’s license suspended one year/restricted after 60 days; and $398 in fines and costs.
