Spaghetti supper to benefit Roy’s Kids.
#RoysKids
NEW ERA — An all-you-can-eat spaghetti supper is set for Thursday, April 26, from 5-7 p.m. at the New Era Christian School as a fundraiser for the Roy’s Kids program.
Roy’s Kids, founded by New Era Police Chief and retired Oceana County Sheriff’s Deputy Roy Strait, provides toys to Oceana County children in need at Christmas time.
Roy started the generous program in 1994. Last year, 270 children had a brighter Christmas thanks to the donations. Local law enforcement officers, some of whom dress as Santa Claus, drop off gifts to the kids at their homes right before Christmas.
The cost for Thursday’s supper, which includes spaghetti, garlic bread and beverages, is $10 per person, and children under the age of 12 eat for free.
