SHELBY — A German Shepherd scared off a suspect or suspects who broke into a residence in the Northland Crossings subdivision Tuesday, April 10, said Lt. Shane Hasty of the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office.

Nothing was taken from the residence, Hasty said.

The break-in occurred some time between the hours of 5:45 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The intruder/intruders kicked in a service door to gain access to the home, he said.
