HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Steven Edward Adams, 42, of 301 Michigan Ave., Shelby, pleaded “no contest” March 26 to disorderly person – jostling and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. One count of gross indecency between a male and female was dismissed.

– James Michael Riggs, 41, of 5826 W. 8th St., Mears, was found guilty March 26 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to nine days in jail or inpatient treatment; 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; six months probation; and $1,680 in fines and costs. One count of second-offense operating while intoxicated was dismissed. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Andrew James Lane, 26, of 6151 E. Filmore Rd., Walkerville, was found guilty March 26 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and a $75 fine. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating without security was dismissed.

– Jonathan David Jurecki, 38, of 7473 Durham Rd., Whitehall, was found guilty March 26 of DWLS and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Charges of unlawful license plates and operating without insurance were dismissed.

– Nicholas Allen Perysian, 25, of 5796 S. 142nd Ave., Rothbury, was found guilty March 26 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Emmanuel Rodriguez, 36, of 2026 Towner Ave. SW, Grand Rapids, was found guilty March 26 of DWLS and was sentenced to nine days in jail; one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Charges of transporting open intoxicants and unlawful license plates were dismissed.

– Bryant Jaquan Lay, 33, of 597 Orchard Ave., Muskegon, was found guilty of DWLS and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and a $75 fine. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of unlawful license plates dismissed.

– Melinda Cruz Gomez, 51, of Chapita Hills, Shelby, was found guilty March 22 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail over the next year and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Jeremy James Vanderzwaag, 28, of 10748 Johnson St., Grand Haven, was found guilty March 20 of DWLS – ORV and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail over the next year and $400 in fines and costs. One count of trespassing – ORV was dismissed.

– Daniel Caleb Walton, 28, of 9557 S. 116th Ave., Rothbury, was found guilty March 21 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Austin Allen Gillette, 21, of 2744 S. Comstock Ave., Fremont, was found guilty March 21 of violation of a restricted license and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $250 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Klee Elaine Martin, 21, of 2838 E. Garfield Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty March 21 of unlawful license plate use and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $125 in fines and costs.

– Maria Picon, 28, of 395 Elm St., Shelby, was found guilty March 21 of unlawful license plates and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $125 in fines and costs.

– Harvey Allan Huntley, 63, of 2837 S. 186th Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty March 21 of retaining a foul hooked fish and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $225 in fines and costs.

– Luke David Durbin, 17, of 1414 Odette, Hartland Michigan, was found guilty March 21 of fishing without a license and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $235 in fines and costs.

– Cortez Lavell Watson, 39, of 398 E. White Lake Dr., Twin Lake, was found guilty March 21 of taking bass/walleye out of season and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail over the next year and $300 in fines and costs.

Dismissals

– Tristan James Hill, 20, of 2328 S. 48th Ave., Shelby, one count of defrauding an innkeeper was dismissed March 26.

– Andrew James Lane, 26, of 6151 E. Filmore Rd., Walkerville, one count of domestic violence dismissed March 26. “The victim is unwilling to cooperate with the prosecution of the defendant,” court records state.
