HHS Drama Club presents Disney’s ‘The Little Mermaid.’

HART — See the Disney classic “The Little Mermaid” come to life on stage, in this uplifting Broadway version at the Hart Middle School Auditorium this weekend.

Ariel is in love with a human prince and will do just about anything to get rid of her fins and trade them for a pair of legs. Journey with Ariel, Flounder, Sebastian and your other favorites “under the sea” and find out what happens. Will Ariel get her legs and her prince, or will she be bested by the evil Ursula?

Show times are Friday and Saturday, March 9 and 10, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 11, at 2 p.m. Admission cost is $5 for students and $10 for adults. It’s a kid-friendly production, and the suggested age for viewers is 5 years old and up.

“The entire cast and crew is comprised of current students, their family and friends,” said Director David Moul, who is the HMS choir director and drama teacher. “And we also have a huge alumni group that comes back to help play in the pit orchestra and run the technical side of things. It’s truly remarkable to see this happen in a community of this size. The cast also has a huge hand in building the set, making costumes, etc. which is very unique to any theater program, anywhere. I am not exaggerating when I say that this production is top-notch, and I can guarantee that anyone who comes to watch will have a wonderful time and leave humming the classic tunes.”
