‘Protect Young Eyes’ program focuses on tech safety.

HART — The public is invited to a parent presentation by the organization “Protect Young Eyes” Monday, Feb. 19, from 6:30-8 p.m., in the Hart First Baptist Church auditorium.

Protect Young Eyes has the mission of educating and equipping parents and hyper-connected kids in how to use technology well. The program focuses on social media use, device parental controls, and pornography prevention education.

During the 90-minute talk, speakers will cover 10 digital realities facing families today and equip parents in resolving those realities with 10 practical digital tools. The talk will answer such questions as: How do I control this Chromebook? What is the right age for a smartphone? What are the risks surrounding Snapchat? How is the brain impacted by tech use?

The parent presentation is free to all interested adults. More information is available at www.protectyoungeyes.com. Questions about the Hart event may be directed to the Oceana Christian School office at 873-2514.
