HART — The Oceana Graphic Novel Club will have its first monthly meeting Thursday, March 15, at 7 p.m. in the Hart Area Public Library Conference Room.

The March 15 meeting will be a general discussion and a chance for members of all ages to get to know one another. The club will meet the third Thursday each month after that.

The April meeting will center on Art Spiegelman’s Pulitzer-winning, 1991 classic, “Maus.”

You can sign up for the club or ask questions by emailing Doug Sanders at dsanders2628@yahoo.com. An Oceana Graphic Novel Club Facebook page for sign-up and discussion is now online as well. There, you will find a roll-out of future books for the club to read and discuss.

Note that some books on the 2018 discussion list contain sexual content and graphic violence. If you’re under 18, you will need parental permission that includes a phone number.

A graphic novel is a fictional story that is presented in comic-strip format and published as a book.
