78th District Court sentencings posted Feb. 9, 2018.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Alfred Martinez Escamilla, 56, of 71 Ferry St., Shelby, was found guilty Jan. 3 of second-offense operating while intoxicated (OWI) and was sentenced Feb. 5 to nine days in jail; vehicle immobilization/forfeiture; one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; outpatient treatment; and $1,715 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One felony count of third-offense OWI was dismissed.

– Joseph Alan Riggs, 35, of 5839 W. 8th St., Mears, was found guilty Feb. 5 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $500 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Counts of domestic violence and marijuana possession were dismissed.

– Samantha Mae Zwade, 25, of 2175 Filmore Rd., Hart, was found guilty Feb. 5 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $1,040 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating with a high blood alcohol content (BAC) was dismissed.

– Nathan Michael Rohen, 24, of 7691 Pinecone, Whitehall, was found guilty Feb. 5 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; outpatient treatment; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of OWI was dismissed.

– Eric William Tatro, 22, of 5333 148th Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty Nov. 20, 2017 of reckless driving and was sentenced Feb. 5 to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. In a separate file, Tatro was found guilty Nov. 20, 2017 of OWI and was sentenced Feb. 5 to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,205 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One felony count of fourth-degree fleeing a police officer was dismissed.

– Jordan Michael Whitener, 20, of 7972 192nd Ave., Holton, pleaded “no contest” to disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $450 in fines and costs. One count of assault and battery was dismissed.

– Kaleb Clark MacLam, 22, of 7972 192nd Ave., Holton, pleaded “no contest” to disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $450 in fines and costs. One count of assault and battery was dismissed.

– Torger Tokle Johnson II, 46, of 2074 Woodward St., Muskegon, was found guilty Jan. 30 of disorderly person – drunk and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. One count of assault and battery was dismissed.

– Cameron Jeffrey Hoffman, 24, of 4340 W. Hayes Rd., Shelby, was found guilty Jan. 30 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $250 in fines and costs. One count of DWLS was dismissed.

– Timothy Clayton Hutchinson, 26, of 1149 E. Sandcreek Trail, Rothbury, was found guilty Jan. 30 of disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $225 in fines and costs. One count of domestic violence was dismissed.

– David Josiah Oliphant, 43, of 5060 Wayne Rd., Pentwater, was found guilty Feb. 5 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail over the next year and $170 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Ana Teresa Fuentes, 53, of 395 Main St., Walkerville, was found guilty Feb. 1 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail over the next year and $125 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.

– Holden Charr Dellar, 25, of 488 W. Muskegon Ave., Muskegon, was found guilty Feb. 1 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail over the next year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.

– Steven Joseph Heykoop II, 44, of 614 State St., Hart, was found guilty Jan. 31 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Heath James Thomas, 21, of 5414 S. 90th Ave., New Era, was found guilty Jan. 31 of improper plates and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $215 in fines and costs.

– Justis Andrew Beard, 50, of 1532 N. 112th Ave., Hart, was found guilty Jan. 31 of improper plates and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $215 in fines and costs.

Dismissal

– Zachary Allen Cole, 29, of 5081 S. 180th Ave., Hesperia, one count of domestic violence was dismissed Feb. 5, because the victim is unwilling to cooperate with the prosecution, according to court records.
