78th District Court sentencings posted Jan. 24, 2018.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Linda Jeanne Kotzian, 67, of 2370 S. 24th Ave., Shelby, was found guilty Jan. 22 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Justin James Adams, 24, of 518 E. Church St., Hart, was found guilty Jan. 22 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; AHSE; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Christian Joseph Luttrull, 21, of 14654 Quebec St., Spring Lake, was found guilty Nov. 27 of assault and battery and was sentenced Jan. 22 to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; no contact with the victim or his residence for six months; and $450 in fines and costs.

– Douglas Evan Pider, 22, of 401 B. 136th Ave., Hart, was found guilty Jan. 22 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; AHSE; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Ronald Frederick Kerr, 69, of 1305 S. 16th St., Shelby, was found guilty Jan. 22 of operating while impaired. and was sentenced to 28 days in jail with credit for 28 days served; 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; must complete recommendation of substance abuse evaluation; and $415 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Jacob Alexander Hitts, 18, of 2224 64th Ave., Shelby, was found guilty Jan. 22 of disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; must complete couple’s counseling; and $400 in fines and costs.

– Adam Robert Keller, 30, of 3241 N. 72nd Ave., Hart, was found guilty Jan. 22 of malicious use of telecommunications and was sentenced to six months discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; no contact with victims; and $440 in fines and costs.

– Rogelio Noel Saldana, 28, of 6415 E. Garfield Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Jan. 22 of second-offense operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; outpatient treatment; six months probation; and $1,780 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Craig Ashley Gay, 57, of 8740 E. Ruth Dr., Branch, was found guilty Dec. 18 of embezzlement $200-$1,000 and was sentenced Jan. 22 to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; $1,400 in restitution; and $400 in fines and costs.

– Nehemiah James Smith, 24, of Green Lawn #19, Rothbury, was found guilty Jan. 22 of disorderly person – jostling and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. One count of domestic violence was dismissed.

– Max Noble Smith, 25, of 905 S. 144th ave., Shelby, was found guilty Jan. 22 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; AHSE; and $1,040 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Shawn Michael Rings, 38, of 2950 Pettis Ave., Ada, Michigan, was found guilty Jan. 22 of improper transport of medical marijuana and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs.

– Corey Allen Owen, 27, of 603 Maple Creek Dr., Holland, was found guilty Jan. 22 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $1,105 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Jennifer Lynsey Steger, 23, of 1375 N. Bingham Ave., White Cloud, was found guilty Jan. 16 of failure to report and accident and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail over the next year and $325 in fines and costs.

– Corey Matthew Pickard, 28, of 787 Eric Lane, Mears, was found guilty Jan. 16 of driving while license expired and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail over the next one year and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of open intoxicants in a vehicle was dismissed.

– Kaylee Marie Brueck, 21, of 55 1/2 State St., Hart, was found guilty Jan. 16 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail over the next year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of failure to report an accident was dismissed.

Dismissal

– Romona Escamilla, 48, of 6612 N. 126th Ave., Hart, one count of truancy was dismissed Jan. 22.
