HART — The criminal sexual conduct (CSC) case against a 37-year-old Hesperia man is headed to trial in 27th Circuit Court.
William Claude Roach II, of 1751 S. 200th Ave., faces three felony counts of third-degree CSC – victim aged 13-15.
Roach was arrested last November by the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office and remains lodged in the Oceana County Jail on a $15,000/cash/surety bond.
Because the defense and the prosecution are unable to reach a resolution in the matter, the case will be scheduled for a two-day jury trial before Judge Bradley G. Lambrix.
Roach appeared in court with his attorney, Julie Springstead Waltz Monday, Jan. 22, during a pretrial hearing.
The maximum penalty for a third-degree CSC conviction is 15 years in prison.
