Benefit soup supper for Ferry VFW at Newman Church Friday.

FERRY TOWNSHIP — A soup supper is being sponsored in appreciation of veterans and as a benefit for the Ferry VFW at the Newman Church Friday, Jan. 26, from 5:30-7 p.m.

Those who attend will have an opportunity to express their appreciation to area veterans for the sacrifices they made while serving our country. Attendees will also have an opportunity to give to a fund that will help put a new roof on the VFW Hall in Ferry. All proceeds from the supper will go toward that cause.

The community is encouraged to show its appreciation and support for our veterans by coming to the Newman Church, located at 4066 S. 132nd Ave. (at the corner of M 20 and 132nd Ave.), to enjoy a delicious soup supper and dessert and to give generously to the fund for a new roof at the VFW Hall.
