GREENWOOD TOWNSHIP — The Oceana County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the driver of an older-style Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck involved in a recent hit-and-run crash that occurred on 200th Avenue just south of East Wilke Road near Hesperia.

The suspect vehicle is described as an older-style, dark-colored Silverado, probably 90s model year, with an extended cab and a brush guard.

With the snow banks, the road was tight and the two vehicles side-swiped each other as they passed, according to the sheriff’s office.

Damage to the suspect vehicle should be extensive on the driver’s side of the truck including broken light lenses on the front and rear. Found at the scene was a window seal with broken glass that is probably from the rear window on the driver’s side suicide door. It is likely that there is no window in that door now.

If anyone has any information about the driver of the fleeing truck, contact the sheriff’s office at 231-873-2121.
