Prisoner sentenced for tether tampering.

HART — A 34-year-old Hesperia man currently incarcerated in prison was ordered to serve 158 days in jail with credit for 158 days served in 27th Circuit Court Monday, Dec. 18, for a conviction of tampering with an electronic monitoring device, or tether.
Darin Colt Cunningham is lodged in the Cooper Street Correctional Facility in Jackson, serving a three to five term for a third-offense operating while intoxicated conviction in Newaygo County, according to the Offender Tracking Information System (OTIS).
Cunningham committed the Oceana County offense prior to his Newaygo County sentencing.
Sentencing guidelines in the case are 0-17 months, said Oceana County Prosecutor Joseph Bizon.
